NBC Broadband Web Site

A year-long project, encompassing hundreds of pages, these designs were all created for a large broad band site to showcase all of the NBC Universal properties — NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, Bravo, CNBC, Access Hollywood, Universal Studios, etc. Users could watch video, contribute to a discussion or see upcoming shows and events all through a fun and intuitive user experience.

The SASD Web site was design and developed as part of the complete brand picture that we created for the school. The site showcases student work; provides information about the school, its students and event; and fits perfectly in the brand image created to reflect the Japanese heritage of the namesake and benefactor, Shintaro Akatsu. The detail below shows the subtle use of color and the stylized Japanese wave pattern.

Type Directors Club Web Site

The Type Directors Club (TDC) is an international organization for all people who are devoted to excellence in typography, both in print and on screen.

Working with the board of directors to redesign TDC.org was as challenging and rewarding an experience a designer can have. The resulting design, which was based on Roger Black’s identity for the Club, features bold, clean lines and large images of award winning typography. The site uses WordPress for easy content management.

This site was featured in the GD USA Design Annual and the American Graphic Design Awards Annual.

SportsMD Video Intro

This short video intro was used as part of SportsMD’s 50 Most Common Sports Injuries video series. The type-dominant solution highlights several of the injuries in the series all arranged around the SportsMD logo which is revealed at the end.

GolfersMD.com is a sub property of SportsMD Media — a brand emerging as the leader in online sports medicine. GolfersMD.com offers golf-specific health advice through articles, videos, a robust community forum, product recommendations and a sports-medicine doctor directory.

The Brian Miller Design Group created a clean and credible identity system for GolfersMD as well as designed an intuitive and functional Web site. The site features a robust content management system that allows for easy maintenance of the all aspects of the site.

MillerWhite School of Design

The MillerWhite School of Design, founded by Brian Miller and Alex White, offers resources for students and professionals interested in exploring the creative and technical aspects of graphic design. The site was created also by Brian and Alex to act as a repository of college art school information.

The site is built on the WordPress BLOGing/content management system and is easily updated using the WordPress CMS interface.

The site also features a series of videos created by the Brian Miller Design Group and Very Nice Industries. These short-form interviews with type and education experts like Charlie Nix, Graham Clifford, Alex White, Anne Twome and Rosanne S. Guararra act as an invaluable resource to high school and college art students.

SportsMD Store

The sister site to SportsMD.com, the SportsMD Store offers health and fitness items for sale. This fully integrated ecommerce engine is able to handle large volumes of traffic and is completely controlled by a robust .net content management system. Featured and sale items, coupon codes, restock items and inventory can all be tracked through the CMS and payment is integrated with Quickbooks.

Nat Nast 2009

In 2009 Nat Nast, makers of luxury men’s clothing worn by Charlie Sheen and James Gandolfini, looked to reinvigorate their Web site by updating the look and enhancing the SEO. The Brian Miller Design Group obliged by producing a brand-specific look that utilized elements from their embroidery as well as more key-term rich text on the home page. This site built on the previous site that we designed and positioned Nat Nast for the next — ecommerce.
